Topic:Projects in Diversity- and Target- Oriented Synthesis; From Plague to Addiction
Speaker: Prof. Dr. SCOTT R. GILBERTSON
University of Houston
Time: 2012/5/8(Tuesday) 10:00am
Location: Lecture Hall on the 2nd floor, No.2 building of National Key Laboratory
Professor Gilbertson is currently a M.D. Anderson Professor in the Chemistry Department at University of Houston and Co-Director of University of Houston, Institute for Molecular Discovery and Design.
Research interests of Gilbertson group include: 1) Use of target and diversity orientated synthesis in drug development. 2) The development of methods for the parallel synthesis of small molecules to facilitate their screening for biological activity. 3) The total synthesis of biologically important natural products. 4) Synthesis of building blocks that allow for the construction of libraries of transition metal complexes by combinatorial methods.
